The Journal of Constitutional Research, founded in 2014, is a four-monthly electronic scientific publication, with open access, promoted by NINC – Núcleo de Investigações Constitucionais (Center for Constitutional Research) of the UFPR (Federal University of Paraná) Master of Laws and Doctorate in Law Programs. Its Editorial Board is composed of renowned scholars affiliated to universities in Brazil, Germany, Austria, Argentina, Australia, Chile, United States of America, Spain, Italy, Ireland and Venezuela.

The journal’s editorial line follows the main research areas developed by the research group (NINC), with focus on the critic study of Constitutional Law and the legal and political institutions, under the approach of democracy, state intervention, fundamental rights and justice theories, with a particular emphasis on issues inserted into the contact points with Public Law’s branches intimately connected with Constitutional Law, such as Administrative Law, Electoral Law and Theory of the State.

Currently, it is classified as Qualis A1 (top-rated) in the area of Law of CAPES (Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel - Brazilian Ministry of Education) and indexed in the most important international databases, including among others Web of Science, Scopus, SciELO and Redalyc.
